This is the weekend which leads up to Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The weekend (actually Monday) is a tribute to the slained Baptist minister, activist, and civil rights leader on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. |
So many people tried to link themselves to Dr. King after his death to give themselves credibility in the fight for civil rights. Some of the people who used King [after his death] to further their agenda were Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Rep. John Lewis. These men are not civil rights leaders, but charlatans who used Dr. King for personal gain.
As for Lewis’ credibility with his and Dr. King’s relationship, it is at best, fabricated. If Lewis respected Dr. King, Lewis would have followed Dr. King’s example of peaceful protests. But instead, Lewis provoked and instigated the police and according to Senator Chris Coons was “arrested 40+ times.”

This weekend of all weekends, the Left has set President-Elect Donald Trump up to look like he is unsympathetic to the civil rights movement. Just another way to try to delegitimize his presidency.
This move was a calculated move on the Left who knew Trump would respond. In an interview with NBC News' "Meet the Press" on Friday, 13, Lewis said that he does not believe Trump is a "legitimate president."
On Saturday Trump scored a hat-trick when he tweeted that Lewis "should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested)."
In another tweet, Trump claimed that Lewis was "All talk, talk, talk - no action or results. Sad!" Trump tweeted.

mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk - no action or results. Sad!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 14, 2017
Not one Main Stream Media news agency in the U.S. or in the U.K. for that matter pointed out that Lewis struck first. Lewis' belief in the hype of the Democratic Party that the Russians hacked the election is what started the Twitter firestorm. The media spun this as a typical tactic of the Left in making Lewis the victim.Congressman John Lewis should finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities of the U.S. I can use all the help I can get!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 15, 2017
Since the Democrats lost the election, lost the recount, was unsuccessful at intimidating the Electoral College, their video PSA of B-List celebrities urging the Electoral College to Vote Against Trump failing, and laughing at Rosie O’Donnell and her B-List celebrity friends for Hollywood to strike and to provoke martial law until Trump has been “cleared of charges,” the only thing left is to try to delegitimize Trump’s presidency.

This will be a long four years for the Democrats, instead of working with Trump and the GOP, they are going to fight them. This may backfire when he runs for reelection just as all their tactics have backfired and got Trump elected in the 2016 election.
The fight begins this weekend with an anti-Trump march in Washington headed by the Rev. Al Sharpton. The protest by about 2,000 marchers on Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend kicked off a week of rallies which will take place before, during and after the inauguration.
DisruptJ20, which is working with Black Lives Matter and other protest groups, said they are planning to disrupt balls celebrating the inauguration in Washington.
